Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Finance Team Lead in the Netherlands to manage a team of 5-8 Project Controllers. You will lead, coach and develop the team while ensuring robust project controlling for international projects and strong collaboration with stakeholders.

The role requires a master or bachelor in business/economics, 10+ years in project controlling, SAP R/3 BW and IFRS knowledge, and fluent English. Flexible/hybrid work is offered.

Responsibilities

• Allocate resources to projects and optimize capacity of the team.

• Ensure financial books and records comply with reporting standards.

If you have the ambition to excel as a Finance Team Lead with people skills in a fast growing, dynamic international environment, then we would like to get in touch with you! Due to growth of the finance team as a result of successful sales results, we are looking for a Finance Team Lead to manage a team of 5-8 Project Controllers and who reports to the Finance Head of the Business Unit.

This role requires a strong affinity with financial and commercial topics, as well as experience in controlling the financial aspects of international projects. It offers the opportunity to lead and further develop a team of Project Controllers while contributing to successful project and business outcomes.

Success in this position is driven by a combination of people leadership capabilities and a solid project controlling background in an international environment. A good understanding of tax, legal and financial topics, together with the ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, is essential.

Day to Day business

• Allocate resources to projects and optimize capacity of the team
• Support and coach your team on complex topics
• Be involved in complex bids and projects, partially you also act as the senior Project Controller in the sales phase
• Monitor the progress of the projects and with your team prepare the monthly project reviews
• Make sure that the financial books and records of the projects are always compliant in line with reporting standards
• Initiate and contribute to process optimalization initiatives
• Continuously work on development of the team with a special focus on the team members with a junior profile

• Completed a master or bachelor degree in Business Administration/ Economics
• At least 10 years of experience with all aspects of Project Controlling in a large international organization
• Insight into SAP R/3 Business Warehouse, MS Office and IFRS
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Shown experience working in a sophisticated work environment
