Job summary

Keiron Printing Technologies in Eindhoven seeks a System Integrator to lead hardware, mechatronics, and software integration for advanced laser-based printing systems in an automated production environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in system integration and validation.
  • Solid understanding of system integration, validation techniques, and testing.
  • Experience with programming for system control (C# or similar) and automation software.
  • Proficient in cross-functional collaboration and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • System integration: lead integration of complex hardware, mechatronics and software systems in a production environment.
  • System validation and testing: design and execute validation protocols and FAT/SAT.
  • Production process validation: validate equipment performance within assembly workflows.
  • Troubleshooting & support: diagnose and resolve hardware or software issues to meet production needs.

  • Documentation: maintain detailed technical docs on processes and troubleshooting guides.

Job description

As a System Integrator at Keiron HQ office in Eindhoven, you will be responsible for the integration, validation, and testing of our advanced laser-based printing systems, ensuring smooth operation within an automated production environment. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to bring together hardware and software components, validate system performance, and oversee production process validation. This role is key to ensuring our systems meet the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and quality.

System Integration: Lead the integration of complex hardware, mechatronics and software systems ensuring seamless operation in a production environment | Initially integration at Keiron facilities (‘machine owner’ role) extended to output steering role towards system supplier(s)

  • System Validation & Testing: Design and execute comprehensive validation and testing protocols to ensure the full system operates according to technical specifications and quality standards, including FAT/SAT and on smaller scale integration and testing of upgrades
  • Production Process Validation: Work closely with the production team to validate the equipment’s performance within assembly workflows, ensuring an efficient and robust production process, meeting QLTC objectives
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve any hardware or software integration issues, ensuring the system meets production requirements and operates without disruptions | Structured analyses by DOE, pFMEA, Root-cause, 8D, SPC, etc. | 2 nd line support to service and operations teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with hardware and software engineers and production specialists to align system functionality with project timelines, customer needs, and production goals

Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation on integration processes, testing protocols and troubleshooting guides

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve system performance and production efficiency, and implement solutions to optimize the integration and validation process

Team Collaboration : Be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. Share knowledge, communicate effectively, and foster a positive and productive team dynamic to achieve our common goals

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field

Experience: 5+ years of experience in system integration and validation, preferably in high-tech industries such as laser systems, electronics, or automated production

Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of system integration and validation techniques, with hands‑on experience in testing and troubleshooting complex hardware/software systems

Production Validation Experience: Familiarity with validating systems for automated production environments, ensuring process consistency, reliability, and quality

Programming & Software Skills: Experience with SW testing (C# or similar programming languages) for system control and integration, as well as familiarity with automation software and protocols

Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document processes clearly and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams

Highly valued additional qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Familiarity with CAD software for system design
  • Experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT3
