Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and commission Keiron systems at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues on-site and remotely.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on installed systems.
  • Serve as the technical contact for customers; provide operator training.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain to address issues.
  • Maintain accurate service reports and technical documentation.
  • Identify recurring issues and propose improvements to system design.
  • Travel internationally within Europe to support installations and service.

Job description

We are looking for a hands-on and customer-oriented Service Engineer to support and maintain our advanced industrial printing systems. In this role, you will be responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing our equipment at customer sites and internally.

You’ll act as a key link between customers, production, and engineering teams, ensuring optimal system performance and customer satisfaction. This role combines technical expertise with problem-solving and communication, offering a dynamic environment with both on-site and remote support responsibilities.

Installation & Commissioning

Install, configure, and commission Keiron systems at customer locations, ensuring proper functionality and performance according to specifications.

Technical Support Troubleshooting

Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues both remotely and on-site; provide timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.

Maintenance & Service

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on installed systems; ensure long-term reliability and performance of equipment.

Customer Interaction

Act as the primary technical contact for customers; provide training, guidance, and support to operators and technical staff.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to elevate issues, provide feedback, and improve product reliability.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate service reports, installation records, and technical documentation; contribute to knowledge base and service procedures.

Continuous Improvement

Identify recurring issues and propose improvements to system design, service processes, and reliability.

On-Site Support & Travel

Willingness to travel internationally within Europe to support installations and service activities at customer locations.

What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in service engineering, field support, or similar roles in high-tech equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
  • Hands-on mentality with a structured and analytical approach.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with laser-based systems or opto-mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of automation and control systems (PLC, motion control, PC-based systems).
  • Familiarity with high-precision manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with international field-service and customer support.
