Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SVP, Product based in Netherlands.

This is the most senior product leadership role in the organization, reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the executive team. You will define the product vision and strategy across the entire portfolio, from core platform and marketplace experiences to internal systems, data, and AI. A central mandate will be building an AI-native product organization, with responsibility for turning advanced AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes. You will partner closely with Engineering, Design, Finance, Marketing, New Businesses, Professional Services, and Customer leadership. The role combines strategic portfolio ownership with hands‑on product leadership, experimentation, and organizational design. You will also shape the product talent strategy, hiring standards, operating model, and culture needed to scale product impact globally.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the overall AI product strategy, determining where agents and models should be applied across the marketplace, talent and client experiences, internal systems, and commercial products.
  • Make strategic decisions about AI investments, including build-versus-buy choices for models and tooling, as well as packaging and pricing for AI‑enabled products.
  • Establish measurable AI quality standards through evaluations, acceptance criteria, feedback loops, and review processes, while partnering closely with Engineering on the underlying platform.
  • Transform Product workflows through AI‑assisted discovery, research, prototyping, analysis, and decision‑making, helping product managers increase both output and judgment.
  • Own the vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap for the full product portfolio, including decisions about new investments, product sunsets, and allocation of resources across growth, platform, and operational priorities.
  • Establish the product operating model, planning cadence, prioritization frameworks, and performance metrics needed to support evidence‑based product decisions.
  • Lead the product integration of acquisitions and new products while maintaining a strong customer perspective across both talent and client experiences.
  • Define how product teams operate in an increasingly multidisciplinary environment where product, engineering, design, and AI capabilities increasingly overlap.
  • Own product organization design, workforce planning, resourcing, headcount strategy, and time‑sensitive hiring commitments.
  • Set and maintain a high hiring bar for the Product organization, personally engaging in recruiting and making decisions that strengthen the leadership and execution capabilities of the team.
  • Review product work directly, coach product leaders and managers, establish clear performance expectations, and continuously raise the organizational standard.
  • Develop strong relationships with the CEO, executive team, direct reports, and cross‑functional leaders while building a deep understanding of the platform, marketplace dynamics, internal systems, and AI capabilities.
  • Develop and execute a product strategy within the first months of joining, including measurable AI‑enabled capabilities in production and a clear allocation of product investment.
  • Demonstrate measurable business impact from AI‑enabled products across core product surfaces and establish a clear connection between product investment and business results.
  • Build and maintain an exceptional product leadership team and create an environment where product professionals can deliver high‑impact work at scale.
  • Drive the long‑term evolution of Product into a high‑leverage, trusted organizational function with AI embedded throughout the portfolio and operating model.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another technical discipline; a Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of professional software Product Management experience.
  • 8+ years leading Product organizations, including experience managing product leaders and other managers.
  • Proven ability to elevate product organizations through hiring, coaching, development, performance management, and organizational design.
  • Demonstrated ownership of workforce planning and resourcing, with a measurable track record of building high‑performing product teams and making difficult talent decisions when necessary.
  • Experience owning an entire product portfolio within a high‑growth technology company, with accountability for business outcomes rather than delivery alone.
  • Strong executive‑level product strategy experience, with the ability to translate strategic direction into executable multi‑team roadmaps across multiple domains.
  • Demonstrated experience leading AI‑enabled products and delivering measurable business outcomes from AI investments.
  • Deep, hands‑on knowledge of modern AI as a product discipline, including agentic architectures, orchestration and evaluation frameworks, retrieval, context engineering, fine‑tuning, and the economics of running models in production.
  • Direct experience shipping AI‑powered products and capabilities rather than working solely at a strategic or advisory level.
  • Ability to educate senior stakeholders on emerging AI capabilities and successfully drive organizational adoption of technologies or approaches that were not previously established.
  • Strong growth marketing fluency, including acquisition, activation, conversion, retention, and product strategies designed around these metrics.
  • Experience with marketplace, platform, or two‑sided business models is strongly valued.
  • Previous professional experience as a Software Engineer is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable using SQL, spreadsheets, and other analytical tools to investigate data and support product decisions, as well as conducting internal and external user research.
  • Strong ability to develop creative, data‑informed, user‑centric solutions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high quality bar across product specifications, technical approaches, experimentation, and feature validation.
  • Humble, collaborative, adaptable, and willing to contribute directly wherever needed to achieve organizational goals.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, executives, customers, and product leaders.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and globally distributed teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, rapidly growing environment with competing priorities, complex challenges, and a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Strong individual contributor capabilities, with a willingness to remain hands‑on in product strategy, research, analysis, experimentation, and execution rather than functioning solely as a delegating executive.
  • Professional communication and documentation must be conducted in English.
Benefits
  • Fully remote position with a globally distributed work environment.
  • Executive‑level opportunity reporting directly to the CEO and participating in the executive team.
  • Broad ownership across the complete product portfolio, including platform, marketplace experiences, internal systems, commercial products, data, and AI.
  • Significant opportunity to define and implement an AI‑native product strategy across the organization.
  • Direct collaboration with Engineering, Design, Finance, Marketing, New Businesses, Professional Services, Customer, and executive leadership.
  • High degree of ownership over product strategy, organizational design, team structure, workforce planning, and product investment.
  • Opportunity to build and develop a high‑performing product leadership organization.
  • Ability to shape AI‑assisted product development practices, operating models, and product capabilities at significant scale.
  • Fully distributed environment designed to support collaboration across global teams.
  • Opportunity to work on complex marketplace, platform, product, data, and AI challenges with direct business impact.
