Job summary

ACT is seeking a Business Development Representative to grow our presence in the UK and Dutch markets by identifying new business opportunities and creating qualified introductions for our Account Management team.

This outbound-focused role is ideal for someone early in their commercial career who is ambitious, proactive, and eager to develop within sustainability and environmental markets, collaborating with Marketing, Trading, and Sales to drive new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Early-career commercial experience or strong interest in business development or sustainability.
• Fluent in Dutch.
• Proactive outbound sales mindset with the confidence to initiate conversations with new prospects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage corporate stakeholders.
• Highly motivated with ability to work toward measurable activity targets.
• Curious, commercially minded and able to learn across industries.

Responsibilities

• Drive outbound business development activities across the UK and Dutch market to identify and engage prospective corporate clients.
• Build relationships through proactive outreach (cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Generate qualified meetings and introductions for Account Managers.
• Work toward activity-based KPIs with a focus on outbound calls, conversations and meetings.
• Research prospective companies and decision-makers to tailor outreach.
• Develop understanding of ACT's sustainability solutions and portfolio to confidently introduce capabilities.
• Maintain prospecting activity and pipeline updates in the CRM and internal platforms.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Marketing and other teams to ensure lead handovers and follow-ups.
