Job summary

CloudWatts B.V. is seeking a proactive customer contact specialist to ensure smooth operation of Zonnedimmer and deliver helpful, timely support to users in the Netherlands.

You will handle inquiries, manage dongle logistics, and collaborate with the development team to translate user feedback into product improvements. The role requires a bachelor’s level, strong communication, and data-driven problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level required with interest in technology, software and energy.
• Understanding of what software does: API, integration or cloud platform.
• Ability to read charts and data quickly.
• Self-motivated to learn quickly about energy management and the flex market.
• Fluent in Dutch; good English.

Responsibilities

• Answering customer questions by phone, email and ticketing system.
• Oversee logistics of the Zonnedimmer Dongle: ordering, stock, shipping and returns.

CloudWatts builds software that makes the power grid more flexible. With our app Zonnedimmer we help consumers get more out of their solar power, while helping grid operators and energy suppliers solve grid congestion.

What you will do

You are the first point of contact for our users and make sure the operation behind Zonnedimmer runs smoothly:

• Answering customer questions by phone, email and through our ticketing system. Think of questions about signing up, connecting inverters, curtailment events, compensation and what users see in the app. You dig into the data yourself to understand what is happening for a customer and then explain it clearly.


• Running the logistics of the Zonnedimmer Dongle: from ordering and stock to shipping and returns. We are growing and scaling fast here; you make sure it runs well.


• Further optimising operational processes. You make sure our operation grows with the company and help think about how it can be smarter and more scalable, together with our development team and with the help of our AI tools.


• The bridge between customer and product. You are the first to hear what users find difficult and translate that into concrete improvements for our products.

Who we are looking for

A rare combination, we know: someone who is technically strong and enjoys picking up the phone to help a customer move forward.

• You think at bachelor’s level and have an interest in technology, software and energy.


• You understand what software does: what an API, an integration or a cloud platform is, and you like to help figure things out when something does not work as expected.


• You read charts and data quickly. A production curve of a solar installation or an overview of curtailment events tells you something within minutes.


• You are self-motivated to learn quickly how energy management and the flex market work: grid congestion, imbalance, negative prices. Prior knowledge is nice, eagerness to learn matters more.


• You hold a conversation on the phone easily and kindly, also with a customer who is a bit irritated or has little technical knowledge.


• You like to get things done without someone telling you what to do all day. You see what needs doing and pick it up.


• You speak and write Dutch fluently; your English is good.

This is probably not your job if you are looking for a tightly scoped call-centre role, feel customer contact is beneath your level, or would rather read a manual of instructions than take initiative.
