NextEnergy BV in Utrecht, Netherlands, is seeking a Junior Low-code Developer to join our fast-moving energy-tech team. You will build flows to add and manage devices like heat pumps and solar panels inside our app, and you’ll help connect to backend services.
You’ll learn OutSystems and .NET alongside senior developers, take ownership of small components, and grow with the team as we expand our platform for smarter energy usage across the Netherlands.
You’ve got what it takes: you break down complex problems until they become simple, you learn fast, and you want to see the things you build actually being used.
Energy can be done differently. Fixed contracts with high cancellation fees are outdated, just like energy giants charging sky-high margins. At NextEnergy, we do things differently. Our customers always pay the current market price for energy. Is the sun shining or the wind blowing? Then our customers can save even more by running the washing machine or charging their car at exactly the right time.
And that’s just the beginning. We want to give everyone in the Netherlands control over their energy bill again. We do this not only through competitive rates, but also with smart solutions. Through our app, customers can automatically charge their electric car when electricity is cheapest, or even purchase a smart home battery.
Next up are heat pumps, solar panels and even more smart devices. As a Junior Low-code Developer, you’ll help build the app that brings all of this together.
Build flows that allow customers to add, connect and manage new devices such as heat pumps and solar panels in the app.
Design screens that show customers at a glance how their devices are performing and what they are delivering.
Create integrations with backend systems and external platforms to retrieve data from and control devices.
Develop back-office functionality that helps colleagues support new services.
Contribute to architectural decisions and technical solutions. A good idea counts here, no matter how many years of experience you have.
Imagine we’re adding support for home batteries from a new brand. You figure out how their platform provides data, build the integration, create the onboarding flow in the app and test it together with the team. A few weeks later, thousands of customers see the result on their phones. We test fast, learn fast and improve from there.
You don’t need any previous OutSystems experience. During your first few months, you’ll learn the platform and work alongside experienced low-code and .NET developers who will show you how our platform works. You’ll quickly take ownership of your own components and gradually grow into more responsibility.
