Job summary

Stoneridge in Barneveld, Netherlands, seeks a Supplier Development Engineer (part-time) to lead supplier quality initiatives across manufacturing locations. The role focuses on improving processes for First Time Right, registering and tracking quality documents, and ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO standards.

You will travel internationally, work independently, and collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to select and approve suppliers and drive corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (HBO level) in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
• Experience in supplier quality management and quality assurance.
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Able to work independently.
• Knowledge of AQL II and MIL-STD-128 sampling techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certified Supplier Auditor in accordance with IATF 16949.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and VDA 6.3.
• Knowledge of automotive core quality tools, including FMEA, PPAP, and 8D.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and DRM.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• A. Supplier Development: assess supplier locations to evaluate manufacturing processes and First Time Right performance; implement process improvements and embed them in the supplier's quality management system; conduct supplier quality audits per applicable standards.
• A. Supplier Development: manage, register, and evaluate supplier quality documentation (NCMs, 8D reports, FMEAs, and Control Plans) and ensure corrective actions are completed accurately and on time.
• B. Other Responsibilities: perform general departmental tasks, maintain a clean and safe workplace; ensure Quality, CSR, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety requirements at supplier locations; visit and evaluate new suppliers and participate in supplier selection and approval; act as deputy for the Procurement Manager on supplier quality matters.
