Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to work with manufacturing partners in the Holland, MI region. The role focuses on developing supplier quality strategies, audits, and corrective actions to improve supplier performance.

You will collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to define requirements, monitor quality metrics, and support supplier improvements. A strong background in ISO 9001/IATF 16949 and problem-solving methods is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years experience in quality engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA).
• Experience with supplier audits and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality management strategies and procedures.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions for supplier-related quality issues, utilizing problem-solving methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., procurement, engineering) to define supplier quality requirements and specifications.
• Monitor and report on key supplier quality performance metrics and trends.
• Participate in the selection and qualification of new suppliers.
• Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers on quality improvement initiatives.
