Job description

Hotel Okura Amsterdam is an international five‑star hotel located in Amsterdam. The Serre Restaurant, situated on the water front, serves high‑quality dishes (Michelin Bib Gourmand) in a blend of Japanese and Dutch culture.

What You Can Expect

The restaurant operates throughout the day, offering a range of dishes, drinks and impeccable service on a large terrace beside the water. The team consists of about fifteen staff members under the supervision of a Service Manager.

Responsibilities

• Leads the team and assists in providing service by taking orders, serving dishes, handling payments, and maintaining the cleanliness of tables and the restaurant.
• Train and coach team members.
• Maintain intensive guest contact, also in other languages.
• Proactively sell restaurant products.
• Perform operational tasks such as taking orders, serving guests, processing payments, and cleaning.
• Execute daily Mise en Place duties.
• Follow safety, Arbo, hygiene and HACCP guidelines.
• Ensure the tables and restaurant remain clean and presentable.

Work Schedule

Shift work over seven days, five days per week, 7.6 hours per day. Availability on holidays required.

Benefits

• Contract: 1 year with possibility of extension.
• Salary: Group 5 (reference to salary guide).
• Bonus: One week salary when the hotel reaches its budgeted GOP and you achieve a minimum total score in annual evaluation.
