Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Student Supervisor to join our supportive team at the Senior School Leidschenveen (SSL). This is a key role supporting student wellbeing and positive behaviour during lunchtime in shared spaces such as the Student Café and sports field.

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to student development in a safe and inclusive international school environment. SSL combines the vision, systems, and reputation of the British School in the Netherlands with the energy and innovation of a growing school community.

This is a part time role - 7.5 hours per week (12:35-14:05), 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide students during lunchtime, promoting positive social interaction and behaviour
• Support students' personal, social, and independence skills through their interactions and activities
• Monitor and maintain a safe and respectful environment in communal areas
• Supervise the canteen and support safe and respectful use of facilities
• Promote and safeguard the welfare and wellbeing of students at all times
• Administer minor first aid when required and support health and safety protocols

The Candidate

Essential:

• Experience working with children or young people in a supervisory or educational setting
• Ability to manage and engage with groups of students in a calm and consistent manner
• Clear spoken English and strong interpersonal skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children

Desirable:

• A current First Aid certificate or willingness to complete First Aid training
• Knowledge of additional languages
• Experience in an international or multicultural environment

The salary range for this position is 2336,60 - 2704,89 gross EUR monthly (full-time, 35h), depending on experience. All figures shown are including the 9% holiday allowance.
