Job summary

Rijnlands Lyceum in The Hague (ESH facilities team) seeks a part‑time supervisor to support students aged 11–18, supervise the canteen and campus, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

The ideal candidate communicates well in English and Dutch, has first‑aid experience or is willing to train, and works proactively with a friendly approach to day-to-day tasks. The role aligns with CAO VO scale 2 and offers benefits.

Joining the ESH facilities team means becoming part of a dedicated and diverse group committed to ensuring the smooth running of our school. Our team consists of four concierge, three receptionists, and five student supervisors, all working together to create a safe, welcoming and well‑organised environment for students, staff, and visitors. • Salary indication: Scale 2 (minimum €2458 and a maximum of €2886 on a fulltime contract)

The Ideal candidate:

• Supervises students in the canteen, around the school building and outdoors
• Helps maintain a safe, calm and respectful school climate on and around campus
• Enjoys working with students aged 11-18 and understands how to set clear boundaries
• Interacts with students in a positive, caring and consistent way
• Has first-aid experience (or is willing to complete first-aid training)
• Supports students in clearing away and managing shared materials/equipment
• Helps organise and manage lost property items
• Communicates proactively with the line manager regarding behaviour, incidents or concerns
• Has a good working knowledge of English and Dutch (other European languages are a bonus)
• Supports the Facilities team with day‑to‑day practical tasks as needed
