Job summary

Rijnlands Lyceum in The Hague is seeking a part-time Lunchtime Supervisor to oversee pupils during lunch breaks and support wellbeing on campus. The role is 0.25 FTE (10 hours weekly, Monday to Friday except Wednesday, 11:30-14:00).

You will supervise 4-11 year-olds, assist with basic first aid, maintain hygiene, and liaise with the coordinator. Training for BHV is offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage a group of pupils aged 4-11.
• Good knowledge of English (other European languages a bonus).
• Calm, patient demeanor with children.
• Willingness to train for BHV certificate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of pupils during lunchtime.
• Provide support with hygienic care.
• Carry out minor first aid.
• Clear away and manage materials used.
• Organise lost property items.
• Communicate proactively with the coordinator/line manager.

• Working pattern: 0.25 FTE (10 hours a week from Monday to Friday except Wednesday, 11:30-14:00)
• Salary indication: minimum €2428 and a maximum of €2886 (scale 2, pro ratio, based on 1fte)

The lunchtime supervisor looks after the wellbeing of pupils during their lunchbreak. Lunchtime supervisors have a range of duties and responsibilities, such as supervise pupils during their lunchbreak in the canteen:

• Supervise groups of pupils during lunchtime
• Provide support with hygienic care
• Carry out minor first aid
• Clearing away and managing the materials used
• Organise lost property items
• Communicate pro-actively with the coordinator/line manager

Requirements and recommendations

• The ability to manage a group of pupils aged 4-11
• Good knowledge of the English language (knowledge of other European languages is a bonus)
• Calm and patient manner
• Positive interest in supporting children’s play
• Willingness to train for BHV certificate
