Job summary

J&T Express is seeking a Supplier Sourcing and Development professional to drive supplier qualification, onboarding, and capacity management across Benelux transportation markets. You will lead negotiations, optimize costs, and ensure reliable carrier performance through KPI-driven management.

The role requires 2–3 years in logistics, strong negotiation and coordination skills, and fluency in English for daily business and supplier communications. Dutch/Benelux market experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for daily business, supplier negotiations, and written communication.
• 2–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or related industries.
• Experience in supplier sourcing, development, and day-to-day supplier management within logistics.
• Strong commercial negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive supplier development and capacity management.
• Experience in the Dutch or Benelux logistics and transportation market is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and supplier sourcing and development across the Benelux transportation market.
• Manage supplier qualification, on-site assessments, quotation evaluation, trial operations, and contract signing.
• Lead transportation price inquiries, benchmarking, and commercial negotiations; optimize transportation rates and cooperation models.
• Manage suppliers' daily service delivery, including vehicle and driver arrangements and capacity adjustments.
• Regularly evaluate suppliers based on KPIs and drive corrective actions, service improvements, and supplier optimization.
• Establish and maintain core and backup suppliers; develop capacity contingency plans for peak periods and unexpected situations.
• Review suppliers' transportation tasks, service fees, and deductions; coordinate with Finance for reconciliation and payments.
• Coordinate capacity and supplier preparation for the launch of new regions and routes, and support capacity allocation during peak periods.
