Job summary

PUM is seeking a Programme Manager Field Crops & Beekeeping to lead the field crops and beekeeping programme, translate client requests into clear proposals, and match clients with expert skills.

You will work with in-country managers, develop strategies, secure funding, monitor impact, and grow a diverse expert community to deliver lasting results. The role is based near The Hague, full-time with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 10 years of professional experience with field crops and/or beekeeping and a strong agribusiness network in the Netherlands.
• Experience with SMEs and basic business management processes.
• Background in programme management and team leadership; volunteer experience is a plus.
• Global focus with international exposure is an advantage.
• Strong intercultural communication skills.
• Experience in growth/transition organisations.

Responsibilities

• Assess project requests and distinguish technical needs from general business support.
• Translate client requests into actionable project proposals and ensure strong client-expert matching.
• Develop programme plans with propositions to strengthen sustainable agribusiness ecosystems and partnerships.
• Identify, develop and secure funding from donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Monitor programme developments, anticipate demand, position experts.
• Manage data and knowledge to maximise impact and learning.
• Coordinate project planning and support strategic partnerships mapping.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies and objectives.
