Job summary

At NTS Eindhoven, we are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead Mechatronics Assembly procurement. You will guide a team of 10 buyers, shape strategy, and ensure supplier performance, delivery, and cost goals align with our OEM projects in high-tech manufacturing.

You will work closely with Global Director Procurement, Category Managers, engineering and quality to translate group strategies into local actions and drive continuous improvement across the supply base.

Qualifications

• HBO or WO education in a technical field or business administration.
• 5+ years in procurement within a technical production environment (high-tech, mechatronics, or machinery).
• Proven experience leading procurement teams including strategic/tactical buyers and project buyers.
• Experience with supplier acquisition, performance management, and process improvements.
• Knowledge of strategic procurement, contract management, and supplier development; NEVI certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop the procurement strategy and translate it into annual plans and objectives.
• Lead strategic/tactical buyers and project buyers and invest in their development.
• Manage local supplier base from acquisition to contract and supplier development.
• Monitor KPIs (OTIF, quality, lead time, cost) and drive continuous improvement actions.

Job description

As Manager Procurement at NTS Eindhoven, you provide direction to the procurement function of NTS Mechatronics Assembly. In this new role, you join the management team of Mechatronics Assembly and report directly to the Managing Director. You are responsible for the local supplier base: from the acquisition of new suppliers to performance management and continuous improvement.

You lead a team of 10 strategic/tactical buyers and project buyers. Our strategic and tactical buyers build the supplier base of tomorrow: they develop supplier strategies, conclude framework agreements, and work on supplier development. Project buyers are involved in NPI projects from the development phase and ensure that new parts and suppliers are timely and well embedded. Together with the operational buyers, who manage the daily material flow, you ensure that the assembly of complex mechatronic modules for leading OEMs in the semiconductor and analytical market runs smoothly.

Within NTS Group, Global Procurement is responsible for the most important global suppliers. All other local suppliers fall under your responsibility. You therefore work closely with the Global Director Procurement and the Category Managers, so that local procurement and group-wide category strategies reinforce each other. In Eindhoven, you are the link between procurement, supply chain, engineering, and quality.

Furthermore, your tasks include:

• You develop the procurement strategy and policy for Mechatronics Assembly and translate this into annual plans, clear processes, and concrete objectives;
• You lead the strategic/tactical buyers and project buyers and invest in their development based on modern leadership;
• You are responsible for the local supplier base, from the acquisition and selection of new suppliers to contracting and supplier development;
• You manage supplier performance and procurement KPIs such as delivery reliability (OTIF), quality, lead time, and cost price, analyze them, and translate them into continuous improvement actions;
• You ensure a strong connection of procurement to NPI projects, from initial supplier selection to a stable handover to series production;
• You coordinate intensively with the Global Director Procurement and Category Managers, translate group-wide category strategies into the local context, and identify developments in the supplier market and with customers;
• As a member of the MT, you contribute to the course of Mechatronics Assembly, monitor the departmental budget, and make proposals for systems, staffing, and training needs.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced and connecting procurement leader with the following background:

• A completed HBO or WO education, preferably in Technical Business Administration, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a technical field;
• At least 5 years of experience in procurement within a technical production environment, preferably in high-tech, mechatronics, or machine construction with a high mix, low volume character;
• Demonstrable experience as a leader of procurement teams, preferably with strategic/tactical buyers and project buyers;
• Experience with supplier acquisition, performance management, and setting up and improving procurement processes;
• Broad knowledge of strategic procurement, contract management, and supplier development, possibly supplemented with a NEVI certification;
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and strong analytical skills;
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken.
