Job summary

Pharming Group is seeking an IT Risk, Compliance & Validation Lead to govern the enterprise IT compliance and validation framework across its global landscape. The role provides independent assurance, directs remediation governance and leads SOX and regulatory inspection readiness.

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Applications, you will set strategy, standards and decision rights, overseeing external partners and ensuring material evidence supports go-live and continued operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, life sciences, quality management, engineering, risk, audit, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• A master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define the global IT validation and compliance strategy, multi-year roadmap and annual assurance priorities.
• Establish policies, standards, governance principles, control frameworks and evidence requirements proportionate to risk.
• Define and enforce roles, decision rights and escalation paths across IT, QA, Finance, business owners and external partners.
• Determine assurance scope and rigor based on system criticality, regulatory impact and residual risk.
• Provide independent assurance over validation activities and remediation as needed.
• Lead SOX assurance, audits and regulatory inspections, including senior stakeholder interviews.
• Maintain enterprise view of compliance health, findings and remediation trends.
• Advise governance forums on exposure, remediation priorities and investment needs.
• Define operating model and oversee outsourced validation services.
