Pharmanovia is seeking an experienced Director of Compliance to lead the organisation’s compliance strategy, governance framework and regulatory risk management activities. This senior role will oversee compliance operations, advise executive leadership and ensure the organisation meets its legal, regulatory and ethical obligations.

The role requires extensive experience in regulated environments, strong governance knowledge and the ability to lead a team and influence senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a senior compliance leader (Director/Chief Compliance Officer or equivalent).
• Experience building compliance frameworks in regulated environments (financial services, healthcare, tech, insurance, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of UK legislation, governance, and industry standards.
• Experience in risk assessments, monitoring, investigations and regulatory reporting.
• Ability to advise boards and senior leadership on regulatory risk and governance.
• Excellent analytical, judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable of influencing at all levels.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement organisation-wide compliance strategy and framework in line with laws and standards.
• Identify, assess, monitor and mitigate compliance and conduct risks.
• Provide practical compliance advice to board and senior stakeholders.
• Oversee regulatory reporting, licensing, registrations and regulator interactions.
• Lead investigations into breaches and policy violations and escalate as needed.
• Oversee training and awareness programmes on compliance across the organisation.
• Collaborate with legal, risk, IT, finance and HR to embed controls.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on processes and products.
• Prepare compliance reports and board papers with key risk indicators.
