Job summary

Bertelsmann Netherlands is hiring a Financial Controller at the Arvato Gennep site to oversee the financial administration of multiple legal entities. You will ensure data accuracy, produce management reports, and drive improvements across accounting processes.

In this role you will work with SAP daily, coordinate with auditors and tax authorities, and report to the Manager Business Administration. A structured, analytical finance professional with Dutch and English skills will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional working and thinking level.
• At least 3 years of experience in financial administration or an accounting role.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and preferably SAP.
• Knowledge of Dutch tax legislation and regulations.
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
• Strong analytical skills with a structured and accurate way of working.

Responsibilities

• Managing the general ledger, including reconciliations, adjustments, and month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
• Preparing and analysing management reports and statutory financial statements.
• Acting as the main point of contact for external parties such as auditors, the Dutch Tax Authorities and banks.
• Ensuring tax compliance in accordance with Dutch legislation and regulations.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing enhancements to financial processes and systems.
• You will work with SAP on a daily basis, ensuring the financial administration is complete, accurate and well organised.
