Job summary

Bertelsmann Netherlands is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller in Gennep to join its Shared Service Center. You will manage general ledger activities, ensure accurate reporting, and support tax compliance for multiple entities.

You will work with SAP daily, collaborate with a team of administrators and managers, and report to the Manager Business Administration in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

• Analytical and detail-oriented finance professional who takes ownership and brings structure to financial processes.
• At least 2 years of experience in financial administration or an accounting role.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and preferably SAP.
• Knowledge of Dutch tax legislation and regulations.
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
• Strong analytical skills with a structured and accurate way of working.

Responsibilities

• Managing the general ledger, including reconciliations, adjustments, and month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
• Preparing and analysing management reports and statutory financial statements.
• Ensuring tax compliance in accordance with Dutch legislation and regulations.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing enhancements to financial processes and systems.
• Daily use of SAP to ensure complete, accurate and well-organised financial administration.
