Group Financial Controller — Strategic, Hands-on Leader

Job summary

LeBertus Finance seeks an experienced Group Financial Controller in Amsterdam to join the head office. You will report to the Group Finance Director, lead monthly closes, consolidate multi-entity structures, and drive standardization of finance processes across subsidiaries.

The role requires strong IFRS knowledge, hands-on financial control experience, and the ability to liaise with auditors and stakeholders across regions. A proactive, analytical, and hands-on approach is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in Economics, Finance or equivalent with 5-10 years’ relevant work experience with accounting qualification (RA)
• Big4 audit experience is a plus
• Proven hands-on experience in financial control, preferably within the financial industry
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements
• Deep understanding of consolidation of international entities (multi-entity, multi-currency, multi-GAAP environments)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and investigate complex issues
• Proven ability to successfully identify, drive, and implement process and internal control improvements. Has control mindset.
• IT savvy and good working knowledge of Finance systems
• Highly motivated individual who has the ability to work in fast-moving and high-pressured environment
• Treasury experience is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial reporting for the multiple entities including annual reporting
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for international entities
• Oversee intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and foreign currency translations
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Involvement in cash management and managing the group’s liquidity and FX exposures
• Collaborate and execute day-to-day accounting activities
• Liaise with external auditors
• Drive standardization, harmonization and automation of finance processes across subsidiaries
• Establish and develop relations with a diversity of stakeholders on several levels
