Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect in Amsterdam to lead technical pre-sales engagements and establish Databricks as the primary data & AI platform in the Benelux region. You will be responsible for guiding customer architecture and providing strategic guidance.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, deep expertise in data engineering, and strong communication abilities. Your role will effectively bridge technical and managerial discussions while mentoring junior team members and driving customer adoption.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technical and client-facing roles.
• Deep expertise across the data landscape with an AI-Builder mindset.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Databricks, AWS, Azure, etc.
• Prior coding experience in Python or SQL; willing to learn Apache Spark.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy for greenfield and developing accounts.
• Act as a trusted advisor during high-tension negotiations.
• Abstract learnings into reusable patterns for the Databricks community.
• Deliver measurable business outcomes beyond proof of concept.
• Coach junior members on technical discovery and prioritization.
