sennder is Europe’s Leading Digital Freight Forwarder. We are a growing team looking for a Carrier Manager to join our Carriers department in Amsterdam to grow our carrier partnerships and accelerate automation of road logistics.

As Carrier Manager you will own the growth of our strategic carrier pool, build long-term partnerships, negotiate rates, ensure on-time loads, and collaborate with Sales and Account Operations to improve efficiency and deliver value to customers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a road freight role and experience as a freight forwarder.
• Commercial experience is mandatory.
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Entrepreneurial character and international mindset.
• Strong ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate and influence others.
• Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a team environment.
• Proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Responsabilités

• Own the growth and engagement of the strategic carrier pool with regular meetings and reviews.
• Research new carriers, generate leads, and build relationships; identify backup carriers.
• Negotiate transportation rates and align with Capacity teams across the network.
• Ensure load requirements are met and develop supply chain solutions for go-to-market.
• Collaborate with Sales and Account Operations to improve efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs, handle escalations and root-cause analyses.
• Track market trends to inform capacity planning.
