Job summary

A leading high-tech company in Eindhoven is seeking an experienced Strategic Buyer. You will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, sourcing suppliers, and optimizing procurement processes. The ideal candidate has a degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering, over 5 years of experience in high-tech procurement, and excellent negotiation skills. Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a 3–5 year procurement roadmap.
• Source and contract suppliers to achieve cost reductions.
• Lead and professionalize the Procurement team.
• Build strong partnerships with strategic suppliers and collaborate cross-functionally (R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance) to ensure business alignment and operational continuity.
• Optimize procurement processes across the full product lifecycle (NPI to end-of-life), while mitigating risks (supply, quality, compliance).
• Leverage spend analytics and KPI-driven insights to ensure budget compliance, optimize costs, and drive supplier performance improvements.
• Champion sustainability initiatives and compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Lead, coach, and professionalize the Procurement team to achieve strategic objectives.

About the job

As an experienced Strategic Buyer, you are commercially driven to get Anteryon the best deal possible while maintaining balance between cost-effectiveness, innovation and partnership with our suppliers. You will be responsible for strategic sourcing initiatives, accelerating time-to-market for new products, and optimizing our supplier network. Leveraging the Kraljic Matrix, your efforts will support the growth of the company, result in sustainable procurement processes and strengthened collaboration with strategic suppliers.

The Purchasing team consists of 3 employees and you will report to the CEO.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a 3–5 year procurement roadmap aligned with organizational strategy, driving revenue growth and cost efficiency.
• Enhance cost-effectiveness and procurement stability through market monitoring, spend segmentation, and tailored sourcing strategies.
• Source, select, and contract suppliers with focus on cost reduction, cash flow, continuity, sustainability, and innovation.
• Build strong partnerships with strategic suppliers and collaborate cross-functionally (R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance) to ensure business alignment and operational continuity.
• Optimize and execute procurement processes across the full product lifecycle (NPI to end-of-life), while proactively mitigating risks (supply, quality, compliance).
• Leverage spend analytics and KPI-driven insights to ensure budget compliance, optimize costs, and drive supplier performance improvements.
• Champion sustainability initiatives and compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Lead, coach, and professionalize the Procurement team to achieve strategic objectives and strengthen departmental capabilities.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor or MSc degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering and CIPS or NEVI certification
• Minimum of 5 years in procurement within high-tech sectors, industrial sensing and measurement, automotive and/or semicon, experience within mechatronics is preferred
• Proven track record in developing and implementing procurement strategies and supplier performance transformations
• Leadership and stakeholder management
• Analytical skills and the ability to simplify the complex
• A competitive, commercial and results-driven spirit with excellent negotiation skills
• Hands-on mentality, able to switch between execution and strategic helicopter-view
• Communication skills, both verbally and written in English and preferably Dutch and German within a intercultural environment
• Willingness to travel frequently
