Job summary

Holland International School in Utrecht is seeking an Academic Lead to join the Leadership Team. You will guide strategic academic initiatives and ensure delivery of high-quality, inclusive education aligned with international best practices.

You will bridge the Dutch and English streams, oversee accreditation processes, lead curriculum development, and support staff development, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or related field.
• Registered School Leader (Primary Education) certification.
• Leadership qualification with Ascenda or equivalent.
• At least five years of educational leadership experience.
• Five years of classroom teaching experience.
• Experience with IEYC/IPC or similar international curricula.
• Knowledge of Dutch education system and Inspectorate.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic educational leadership as a member of the Leadership Team.
• Manage and coach Heads of English and Dutch teams.
• Promote excellence in teaching, learning and assessment.
• Ensure curricula coherence and development across programmes.
• Oversee accreditation processes and IEYC/IPC alignment.
• Foster continuous improvement and professional learning.
• Lead professional development aligned with school priorities.
• Support inclusion and student support with Learning Support Coordinator.
• Contribute to recruitment and performance development of academic staff.
• Participate in educational planning and budgeting.
