Job summary

Cloudbeds is building a remote, globally distributed revenue intelligence platform. We seek a Staff Software Engineer to shape the technical direction across customer-facing apps, backend services, data pipelines, ML workflows, and cloud infra.

You will mentor teams, drive architecture, improve reliability, and collaborate with product, data science, and security leaders to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience and technical leadership across complex production systems.
• Strong Python expertise and ability to guide engineering decisions across ecosystems.
• Deep architecture and distributed-systems fundamentals (APIs, event-driven workflows, scalability).
• Experience with data-intensive systems (PostgreSQL/Redshift, batch and streaming pipelines).

Responsibilities

• Set and evolve the technical strategy for Revenue Intelligence.
• Lead design and delivery across web apps, backend APIs, data pipelines, and ML workflows.
• Identify and mitigate risks in scalability, reliability, security, data quality, observability, and operability.
• Modernize legacy systems while preserving delivery momentum and stability.
• Partner with product, data science, infrastructure, and security leaders to align direction.
• Remain hands-on in code, reviews, debugging, and incident response.
• Mentor and raise the technical effectiveness of teams and standards.
