Job summary

Supermicro is seeking an experienced Staff Product Manager to drive promotion, commercialization, and global go-to-market execution for our Client System portfolio, including AI PCs, desktops, and deskside AI solutions. You will collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and regional teams to develop positioning and enable sales.

Reporting to the Director of Client System Product Management, the role translates technical capabilities into customer value, leads

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global and regional go-to-market plans for Client Systems and AI products.
  • Define target markets, segments, use cases, positioning, differentiation, and value propositions.
  • Coordinate launches across teams and ensure readiness with pricing, samples, inventory, and sales materials.
  • Support commercialization throughout the product lifecycle from introduction to adoption.
  • Develop sales materials and training content for customer-facing teams.
  • Translate technical capabilities into clear customer benefits and business outcomes.
  • Develop value propositions around AI performance, privacy, security, and total cost of ownership.
  • Deliver product training, webinars, and demonstrations for sales enablement.
  • Support strategic customer and channel partner engagements.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable configurations and solutions.
  • Coordinate internal follow-up on configuration, pricing, availability, certification, and delivery.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Staff Product Manager to drive product promotion, commercialization, and global go-to-market execution for Supermicro’s Client System portfolio, including AI PCs, commercial desktops, workstations, and deskside AI solutions.


This individual contributor will work closely with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, FAE, Engineering, Operations, channel partners, and regional business teams to develop compelling product positioning, enable sales execution, support strategic customer opportunities, and accelerate product adoption.


The successful candidate will combine strong product and market knowledge with disciplined execution, customer engagement, and cross-functional leadership. This role will translate technical product capabilities into differentiated customer value propositions, develop sales-enablement programs, support product launches, collect market requirements, and drive adoption of strategic and Gold SKU products.


Reporting to the Director of Client System Product Management, this position will play a key role in expanding Supermicro’s presence in enterprise AI PCs, professional workstations, commercial client systems, and deskside AI solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Promotion and Go-to-Market Execution

  • Develop and execute global and regional go-to-market plans for Client Systems, AI PCs, workstations, and deskside AI products.
  • Define target markets, customer segments, use cases, positioning, differentiation, and value propositions.
  • Coordinate product launches across teams andensure launch readiness, including product information, pricing, samples, inventory, certifications, sales materials, and training resources.
  • Support commercialization throughout the product lifecycle, from introduction through adoption and transition.

Sales Enablement and Product Communication

  • Develop sales and customer-facing materials, including presentations, solution briefs, competitive comparisons, sales playbooks, guides, FAQs, and training content.
  • Translate technical capabilities into clear customer benefits and business outcomes.
  • Develop value propositions around AI performance, privacy, security, manageability, deployment flexibility, and total cost of ownership.
  • Become the product-promotion subject matter expert and deliver product training, webinars, workshops, demonstrations, and sales-enablement program.

Customer and Partner Engagement

  • Support strategic customer, channel, distributor, system integrator, and ecosystem engagements.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable product configurations and solutions.
  • Support presentations, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, evaluations, and commercial discussions.
  • Coordinate internal follow-up on configuration, pricing, availability, certification, technical support, and delivery requirements.
  • Build relationships with technology partners and ecosystem participants to drive joint promotion and solution opportunities.

Market and Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct market, competitive analysis andmonitor industry trends, customer adoption, competitor activity, pricing, channels, AI workloads, and regional requirements.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer segments, use cases, and partnerships to expand adoption.
  • Gather customer, partner, Sales, and regional feedback to support product planning and roadmap decisions.
  • Develop recommendations to strengthen product differentiation and competitiveness.

Gold SKU and Business Development Support

  • Develop promotion plans for strategic and Gold SKU products, including target accounts, regions, channels, customer profiles, and use cases.
  • Work with Sales and regional teams to identify opportunities, improve follow-up, and support pipeline development through product expertise, sales tools, competitive intelligence, and solution recommendations.
  • Track product adoption, customer engagement, inventory readiness, pipeline development, and business performance.
  • Provide management with updates and recommendations on launch progress, opportunities, competitive risks, and business-development priorities.

Cross-Functional Program Management

  • Lead cross-functional product-promotion initiatives, establishing priorities, milestones, responsibilities, deliverables, and follow-up actions across teams.
  • Identify and drive resolution of launch, supply, configuration, certification, pricing, and customer-support risks.
  • Manage multiple product-promotion programs and customer opportunities in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Support continuous improvement of product-launch, sales-enablement, customer-engagement, and lifecycle-management processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. An advanced degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience in product management, product marketing, technical marketing, solution management, business development, sales enablement, or go-to-market roles within the technology industry.
  • Demonstrated experience promoting and commercializing hardware, systems, or technology solutions.
  • Experience with one or more of the following product categories is strongly preferred:
    • AI PCs
    • Commercial desktops
    • Professional workstations
    • Client computing platforms
    • Edge computing systems
    • Enterprise hardware solutions
    • AI infrastructure or local AI solutions
  • Strong understanding of product positioning, market segmentation, competitive analysis, product launches, channel enablement, and customer-engagement processes.
  • Ability to understand complex technical specifications and translate them into clear customer use cases, competitive advantages, and business value propositions.
  • Proven experience developing professional customer presentations, product collateral, competitive analyses, sales-enablement materials, and business proposals.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers, distributors, channel partners, system integrators, technology partners, or regional sales organizations.
  • Strong analytical and business judgment, including experience evaluating market opportunities, customer requirements, competitive conditions, and product-performance data.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
  • Strong project-management, organizational, and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, stakeholder-management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced and globally distributed organization.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is preferred for collaboration with Taiwan-based teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other standard business-productivity tools. Experience with CRM, analytics, or project-management tools is preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally to support customer engagements, regional sales activities, product launches, partner meetings, training programs, and industry events.
