Job Summary

Under general direction, the Sr. Buyer/Planner at Super Micro Computer plans and coordinates the purchasing functions of the technological division, coordinate the work of the buyers, purchases high quality supplies, materials and equipments in accordance with informal and formal bidding procedures, prepare specifications and contracts for services/supplies. If you are dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Plan and purchase material requirements per MRP/SAP and ensure the flow of materials for ongoing production as well as for new products in development.
• Monitor and fulfil sales demand and material shortages by following up closely with internal and/or CM production schedule to ensure on-time delivery.
• Review and monitor inventory levels against sales ratio and sales forecast; respond to changes in sales trend and sales forecast.
• Seek, partner, and maintain relationships with reliable outside vendors and/or internal counterparts to manage stable supply and increase fulfilment rate of company’s focus product.
• Remove slow moving and/or excess stock by cross department collaboration to keep healthy stock level.
• Monthly/weekly stock/demand analysis report updates to define further Purchasing/Inventory strategy or assist relevant department decision making.
• Align and improve collaboration process with global sites to optimize operation efficiency.
• Other projects and tasks may be assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years purchasing and planning related working experience.
• Have work experience in IT industry is plus.
• Experienced in MRP/ ERP/ SAP and supply chain management.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Language skills: Professional fluency in English and Chinese (Listening, speaking, reading, writing).
• Strong communication, negotiation, customer service skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Stress resistant. Able to work under pressure & challenges.
• Ability to work cross-functionally.
