Job summary

The College Hotel, Autograph Collection by Marriott, is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to support The Dean Restaurant and the Bar & Bistro. You will lead, coach, and inspire students and kitchen staff, ensuring daily operations meet brand standards and guest expectations.

You will help develop menus, manage food quality, and maintain HACCP compliance, while driving cost efficiency and a high-energy hospitality experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Sous Chef
• Leadership skills to inspire and motivate a team
• Creativity in developing new menus and dishes
• Excellent organizational skills for smooth kitchen operations
• Solid knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
• Budgeting and cost control experience
• Good communication with team and guests
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in leading, coaching, and developing the kitchen team and students
• Actively work in the kitchen of The Dean Restaurant and the Bar & Bistro
• Ensure smooth daily operations according to brand and service standards
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver a flawless guest experience
• Oversee food quality, HACCP guidelines, inventory management, and cost efficiency
• Contribute to menu development with creative ideas and seasonal products
• Motivate the team and students to create a WOW experience for guests
