Job summary

Ace & Tate in Amsterdam is seeking a Sourcing & Quality Specialist for maternity cover from December 2026 to June 2027. We welcome both temporary employees and experienced freelancers to support us during this period.

Responsibilities include managing supplier performance, strengthening sourcing resilience, negotiating contracts, developing a quality framework, driving root-cause analysis, and ensuring MDR compliance across eyewear products.

Qualifications

• Experience in sourcing, procurement, quality assurance or supply chain management.
• Proven ability to independently manage supplier performance and quality programmes end to end.
• Hands-on regulatory knowledge (MDR, CE marking, ISO) in eyewear or regulated products.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers on commercial terms.
• Ability to develop supplier scorecards, risk dashboards and translate data into decisions.
• Strategic thinking with stakeholder influence across levels.
• Proactive, independent work style with ownership of initiatives.
• Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
• Willingness to work from or commute to Amsterdam HQ.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing resilience: deepen supplier performance tracking and risk assessments with concrete mitigation plans.
• Strengthen sourcing resilience by identifying new suppliers, regions and nearshoring options for frames and materials.
• Review and strengthen supplier contracts, including commercial negotiations with Legal.
