Solutions Engineer – Real-Time Intelligence Platforms

Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a highly capable software engineer with Palantir Foundry expertise to design, implement and deploy data pipelines and ontology models for defence and security customers. You will work across restricted, on-premise environments and collaborate with operators to integrate live intelligence into workflows.

The role demands 3+ years shipping production systems, strong programming skills (Python/SQL/JavaScript/TypeScript) and experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background in computer science or a related technical field.
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience with pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories, Workbooks and application development
• Fluency in at least one of Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash or Go
• Three years or more of professional software or forward-deployed / solutions engineering experience shipping systems into production
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar platform architectures and data models and reason about technical decisions' operational impact

Requirements

• Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience with pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories, Workbooks and application development


• Fluency in at least one of Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash or Go


• Three years or more of professional software or forward-deployed / solutions engineering experience shipping systems into production


• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar platform architectures and data models and reason about technical decisions' operational impact


• Experience with containers such as Docker or Podman and orchestration such as Kubernetes or OpenShift


• Solid Linux, networking and on-premise fundamentals


• Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders


• Willingness to travel and work on site in secure customer facilities


• Right to work in the EU, or be UK-based


• Nice to have: experience delivering software in classified, air-gapped or disconnected environments


• Nice to have: defence, intelligence, national-security or emergency-management background


• Nice to have: geospatial platforms and common-operating-picture tooling such as Esri or ArcGIS, or command-and-control systems


• Nice to have: front-end frameworks and data-rich operator applications


• Nice to have: familiarity with NATO and national defence accreditation and compliance


• Nice to have: a second European language
