Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a highly capable software engineer with Palantir Foundry expertise to design, implement and deploy data pipelines and ontology models for defence and security customers. You will work across restricted, on-premise environments and collaborate with operators to integrate live intelligence into workflows.

The role demands 3+ years shipping production systems, strong programming skills (Python/SQL/JavaScript/TypeScript) and experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background in computer science or a related technical field.
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience with pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories, Workbooks and application development
• Fluency in at least one of Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash or Go
• Three years or more of professional software or forward-deployed / solutions engineering experience shipping systems into production
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar platform architectures and data models and reason about technical decisions' operational impact

Responsibilities

• Work with defence and security users to understand situational-awareness and force-protection needs and scope solutions
• Design, build and deploy Palantir Foundry data pipelines, ontology models and operator-facing applications
• Integrate live intelligence into existing workflows, common operating pictures and command-and-control tooling
• Build and tune custom widgets based on user needs
• Own solutions end to end, from initial whiteboard sketch through operational deployment
• Debug infrastructure, networking and application issues across restricted, disconnected or on-premise environments
• Advise customer engineers and operators and relay their feedback into the product
• Travel to customer sites and operations centres in Europe approximately 25%–75% of the time
