Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced engineer to lead end-to-end Palantir Foundry deployments for defence and security customers in Europe. You will design data pipelines, ontologies, and operator-facing apps, and integrate live intelligence into workflows and C2 tooling.

The role requires 3+ years in production software engineering or solutions engineering, strong Docker/Kubernetes experience, and willingness to travel across Europe to secure customer facilities.

Qualifications

Technical degree or equivalent with strong engineering background.
Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience with pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, code repositories, workbooks, and app development.

Responsibilities

Engage with defence and security users to understand situational-awareness and force-protection needs.
Scope solutions against operational requirements.
Design, build, and deploy Palantir Foundry data pipelines, ontology models, and operator-facing applications.
Integrate live intelligence into existing workflows, common operating pictures, and command-and-control tooling.
Build and tune custom widgets when needed.
Own solutions end to end, from initial whiteboard design through operational deployment.
Debug infrastructure, networking, and applications across restricted, disconnected, or on-premise environments.
Advise customer engineers and operators and relay feedback into the product.
Travel to customer sites and operations centres in Europe approximately 25%–75% of the time

Requirements

Strong engineering background in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics, or an equally technical field
Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience with pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories, Workbooks, and application development
Fluency in at least one of Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash, or Go
Three or more years of professional software engineering or forward-deployed/solutions engineering experience shipping systems into production
Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar platform architectures and data models
Experience with Docker or Podman containers
Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift orchestration
Solid Linux, networking, and on-premise fundamentals
Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Willingness to travel and work on site in secure customer facilities
Candidates must have the right to work in the EU or be UK-based
Security clearance is required for the role
