Job summary

Yokogawa is seeking a Sales Engineer to develop technical solutions and commercial proposals that meet customer requirements. You will work with Account Management, Engineering, and Product Management to translate needs into Yokogawa's process control, instrumentation, and automation offerings.

The role combines technical depth with commercial awareness and customer interaction, delivering value through effective proposals and solutions across the sales cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related technical discipline.
• Experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or application engineering.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, process control systems, instrumentation.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate customer requirements into solutions.
• Understanding of commercial proposals, quotations, costing, and technical sales processes.
• Experience with customers and multidisciplinary teams in technical/industrial environments.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and RFQs with Account Managers.
• Translate customer needs into Yokogawa solutions and develop technical proposals.
• Prepare system configurations, solution concepts, and quotation documentation.
• Provide technical expertise on process control, instrumentation, and automation solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer performance and efficiency with Yokogawa technologies.
• Support bid clarifications, revisions, and technical discussions throughout the sales cycle.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to validate feasibility, scope, costs, and delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date CRM records and sales dossiers.
• Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and product explanations to customers.
