Job summary

Connect AI in Delft, Netherlands is seeking a Software Verification & Modelling Engineer to develop and validate software models, build automated verification frameworks and ensure numerical accuracy.

You will work with software and hardware teams to compare outputs against reference models, investigate discrepancies, and improve verification processes across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ programming and debugging skills.
• Professional experience in software testing, verification or test automation.
• Solid understanding of digital signal processing (DSP), modeling or numerical methods.
• Proficiency in Python for verification, testing or automation.
• Experience developing or maintaining automated tests and CI regression pipelines.
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related field.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, NumPy or SciPy.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and debug software verification frameworks using C++ and Python.
• Build and validate mathematical and behavioural reference models to verify software implementations.
• Perform golden-reference comparisons and numerical error analysis to identify discrepancies.
• Design and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI regression tests.
• Analyse algorithm behaviour, numerical precision and error propagation across processing chains.
• Investigate fixed-point arithmetic and numerical accuracy considerations.
• Develop reference models using MATLAB/Simulink, NumPy or SciPy.
• Collaborate with software, FPGA and hardware engineers to validate models.
