Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Software Deployment Engineer to bring advanced robotics systems to life at customer sites in Best, Netherlands. This on-site role combines software deployment, integration, and hands-on commissioning with direct customer engagement.

You will lead deployment activities, troubleshoot across software, PLCs, vision systems, and networking, and continually improve implementations with a strong emphasis on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or similar.
• 3+ years' experience in software deployment, system integration, or technical automation roles.
• Experience with PLC integration, industrial automation systems, and complex troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with ABB, FANUC, or Yaskawa robots.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead software deployment and system integration activities at customer sites.
• Install, configure, and commission robotic automation systems.
• Investigate and resolve issues involving software, robots, PLCs, vision systems, and networking.
• Analyse system performance and identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Provide technical support, training, and guidance during system handover.
• Develop deployment procedures and troubleshooting documentation.

They are currently looking for a Software Deployment Engineer to play a key role in delivering and optimizing robotic automation systems at customer sites. This position is ideal for a hands‑on engineer who enjoys problem‑solving, working directly with customers, and seeing complex automation projects brought to life.

Working closely with both engineering teams and customers, you will lead deployment activities, commission systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and help continuously improve future implementations.
