Job summary

CareTalent is seeking a compassionate Social Worker to support individuals with intellectual and multiple disabilities in the Netherlands. You will join a team in residential and outpatient settings, with Dutch language and culture training provided and a structured onboarding process.

Daily duties include greeting residents, guiding activities, providing emotional support, and documenting care plans. Shifts run from 07:00 to 22:00, with 32–36 hours per week and no night shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong resilience and mental stability
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Willingness to learn Dutch
• EU driver license and own transport within 6 months
• Willingness to travel to the Netherlands for final selection phase (March)

Responsibilities

• Help residents wake up, dress, wash, and eat breakfast.
• Guide residents to activities, provide emotional support, and monitor behaviour.
• Assist with medication, meals, and ADL tasks; communicate with families.
• Prepare residents for relaxation and bedtime routines.
• Observe and interpret non-verbal cues; handle behavioral challenges using de-escalation techniques.
• Work with varying patient ratios (1:1 to 1:7) according to complexity.
• Follow shifts between 07:00 and 22:00 (day and evening), 7–9 hours each.
