About The Role

As Site Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of site-based projects across a flagship data centre. You will oversee the execution of infrastructure upgrades, service enhancements, and customer-driven initiatives ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

About The Role

As Site Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of site-based projects across a flagship data centre. You will oversee the execution of infrastructure upgrades, service enhancements, and customer-driven initiatives ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration across Facilities, Technical Services, Commercial, Compliance, and Security teams to ensure project activities are aligned with site priorities and enterprise-wide standards. Your role will include managing project timelines, risk assessments, stakeholder communications, and documentation to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with local permitting and government regulations, and leading teams through ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Use of project management systems, procedures, and processes to ensure effective collaboration between external consultants and the internal team.
• Adherence to Global Switch policies and procedures regarding change management, site access, and documentation for risk assessments.
• Applies modern project management methodologies and quality assurance techniques to maintain consistency, transparency, and accountability across all project phases.
• Maintains a strong focus on contractor performance, ensuring delivery aligns with contractual obligations and quality benchmarks.
• Preparation of project budgets, tender documents, and negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Maintains rigorous standards of cost control, quality assurance, and programme management throughout design and construction phases.
• Ensures all project plans, updates, and technical information are communicated effectively to relevant staff and stakeholders.

You’re a highly organised and proactive project leader with strong experience managing site‑based projects in complex, operational environments. You excel at coordinating multidisciplinary teams, overseeing contractor performance, and ensuring every project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements. You bring a structured approach to planning, documentation, risk management, and communication, ensuring stakeholders remain aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle. With strong technical awareness, commercial understanding, and a commitment to continuous improvement, you thrive in fast‑paced settings where you can drive accountability, solve problems early, and maintain high standards of quality and governance.

Key Requirements

• Leads complex site-based projects that support infrastructure reliability, service continuity, and long‑term business objectives.
• Experienced in coordinating multi‑stream delivery and aligning outcomes with stakeholder expectations.
• Understands how project delivery impacts operational and financial outcomes, ensuring decisions align with budget targets and compliance standards.
• Proficient in using project management platforms, dashboards, and analytics to monitor progress, track milestones, and inform strategic decisions.
• Drives process improvements through stakeholder feedback, performance reviews, and proactive problem‑solving.
• Translates project priorities into actionable plans and builds strong relationships to support integrated, high‑impact delivery.
• Identifies opportunities to enhance delivery models, adopt emerging technologies and support organisational transformation initiatives.
