Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a Site Controller in Almere to partner with site leadership on financial decisions. You will oversee month-end and year-end closes, manage budgeting and forecasting, and strengthen internal controls. The role requires ERP experience, advanced Excel skills, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in finance and/or controlling.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Fluency in English with strong stakeholder management.
• Experience in 3PL or logistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as finance business partner advising site leadership on financial matters.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures and oversee local accounting.
• Lead budgeting and weekly/monthly forecasting with corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain internal control systems for compliance and accuracy.
• Create sales invoices and discuss with site managers and customers.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Acting as a finance business partner, advising site leadership and managers on financial and controlling matters while collaborating with cross‑functional international teams to identify cost drivers and improve financial outcomes.
• Leading month‑end and year‑end closing procedures, managing the full P&L, and overseeing local accounting functions.
• Leading the budgeting process as well as weekly and monthly forecasting, taking corrective actions when required.
• Developing and maintaining robust internal control systems to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
• Creating sales invoices for completed services and discussing them with site managers and customers.

What You'll Bring To GXO

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in finance and/or controlling.
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in English, with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience within a 3PL or logistics environment would be considered an advantage.
