Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Schiphol is seeking an experienced Site Controller to oversee financial activities at a new site. You will partner with site leadership, manage the full P&L, and collaborate with international stakeholders to drive cost control and profitability.

The role includes budgeting, forecasting, month‑end and year‑end closing, internal controls, project spend tracking, and invoicing. Fluency in English and ERP experience are required; 3PL/logistics exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or related field.
• Strong experience in business controlling.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Fluency in English and strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Act as a finance business partner, advising site leadership on financial matters with cross‑functional teams.
• Support project management with tracking spend, budget, and cost performance.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing, manage the full P&L and local accounting.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting, implement corrective actions when needed.
• Develop robust internal controls to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
• Create sales invoices and discuss them with managers and customers.

At GXO Logistics, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Site Controller to join our team in Schiphol, supporting a leading technology customer. In this role, you will oversee financial activities at our brand-new site, work closely with Site Managers and international stakeholders across multiple countries, and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

How you'll make an impact

• Acting as a finance business partner, advising site leadership and managers on financial and controlling matters while collaborating with cross-functional international teams to identify cost drivers and improve financial outcomes.
• Supporting project management activities, including tracking project spend against budget, monitoring cost performance, and assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new project requirements.
• Leading month-end and year-end closing procedures, managing the full P&L, and overseeing local accounting functions.
• Leading the budgeting process as well as weekly and monthly forecasting, taking corrective actions when required.
• Developing and maintaining robust internal control systems to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
• Creating sales invoices for completed services and discussing them with site managers and customers.

What you'll bring to GXO

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or a related field.
• Strong experience in business controlling.
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in English, with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience within a 3PL or logistics environment would be considered a strong advantage.
