Job summary

GXO Logistics in Veenendaal seeks an experienced Site Controller to provide financial guidance and support strategic decisions. You will partner with the Site Manager, oversee month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls, ensuring accurate P&L and accounting operations.

Ideal candidates have a Finance degree and 2-3 years in finance/controlling within logistics/3PL, plus ERP and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Economics, or related field.
• 2-3 years of finance/controlling experience.
• Experience in 3PL or logistics environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Fluent in English with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a finance business partner to site leadership and managers on financial and controlling matters.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing, manage full P&L and local accounting functions.
• Lead budgeting and weekly/monthly forecasting, take corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and maintain internal controls for financial compliance and accuracy.
• Create sales invoices for services and discuss them with site managers and customers.

How you'll make an impact

• Acting as a finance business partner, advising site leadership and managers on financial and controlling matters while collaborating with cross-functional international teams to identify cost drivers and improve financial outcomes.
• Leading month-end and year-end closing procedures, managing the full P&L, and overseeing local accounting functions.
• Leading the budgeting process as well as weekly and monthly forecasting, taking corrective actions when required.
• Developing and maintaining robust internal control systems to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
• Creating sales invoices for completed services and discussing them with site managers and customers.

What you'll bring to GXO

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in finance and/or controlling.
• Experience within a 3PL or logistics environment.
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in English, with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
