Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a Site Controller at our Schiphol site to oversee financial activities, partner with site leadership, and provide financial insights for strategic decisions. You will collaborate with international stakeholders and ensure accurate P&L management.

The role involves month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and robust internal controls within a dynamic, global logistics environment. Hybrid work with development opportunities and a strong focus on performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics or related field.
• Strong experience in business controlling.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Fluency in English with excellent stakeholder management.
• Experience in 3PL or logistics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures and manage the P&L.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting, with corrective action when needed.
• Develop and maintain internal controls for financial compliance.
• Prepare and discuss sales invoices with site managers and customers.
• Support project spending, budgets, and cost performance with cross-functional teams.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Acting as a finance business partner, advising site leadership and managers on financial and controlling matters while collaborating with cross-functional international teams to identify cost drivers and improve financial outcomes.
• Supporting project management activities, including tracking project spend against budget, monitoring cost performance, and assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new project requirements.
• Leading month-end and year-end closing procedures, managing the full P&L, and overseeing local accounting functions.
• Leading the budgeting process as well as weekly and monthly forecasting, taking corrective actions when required.
• Developing and maintaining robust internal control systems to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
• Creating sales invoices for completed services and discussing them with site managers and customers.

What You'll Bring To GXO

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or a related field.
• Strong experience in business controlling.
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in English, with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience within a 3PL or logistics environment would be considered a strong advantage.
