Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking an experienced Site Controller for our Almere operation. You will partner with the Site Manager, combining financial expertise with commercial awareness to drive performance and support key business decisions.

Responsibilities include leading month-end and year-end close, managing the full P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and maintaining internal controls. Fluent English and 2–3 years of finance experience are required; ERP and Excel proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Economics, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in finance/controlling.
• ERP systems experience and advanced Excel.
• Fluent English with strong stakeholder management.
• Logistics/3PL experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as finance business partner to site leadership and managers, identifying cost drivers and improving financial outcomes.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing, manage full P&L and local accounting.
• Lead budgeting and weekly/monthly forecasting, taking corrective actions when needed.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Create sales invoices for services and discuss with site managers and customers.

How you'll make an impact

• Acting as a finance business partner, advising site leadership and managers on financial and controlling matters while collaborating with cross-functional international teams to identify cost drivers and improve financial outcomes.
• Leading month-end and year-end closing procedures, managing the full P&L, and overseeing local accounting functions.
• Leading the budgeting process as well as weekly and monthly forecasting, taking corrective actions when required.
• Developing and maintaining robust internal control systems to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
• Creating sales invoices for completed services and discussing them with site managers and customers.

What you'll bring to GXO

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in finance and/or controlling.
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in English, with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience within a 3PL or logistics environment would be considered an advantage.
