Job summary

Forexx Group's client, a leading shipyard in the Amsterdam region, seeks a Project Manager to oversee repair and conversion projects for vessels up to 250 meters. You will coordinate with clients and subcontractors, develop detailed planning, and drive commercial and financial results.

The ideal candidate holds a technical degree (MBO/HBO or MAROF), has 4+ years in maritime project management, and excels in decision-making, planning, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• A completed technical degree (MBO or HBO) in Shipbuilding, Maritime Officer (MAROF), or related field.
• At least 4 years of project management experience within the maritime industry.
• Willingness to take the next career step (second or third role).
• Strong decision-making, planning and collaboration skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with commercial awareness.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, execute, and finalize assigned ship repair and conversion projects.
• Monitor progress and respond effectively to changing circumstances.
• Develop project and detailed planning with internal/external stakeholders.
• Supervise timelines and budgets with accurate financial follow-up.
• Report on project progress to Senior PM/Head of Projects and maintain client contact.
