Job description

Overview

You will lead projects on-site, with direct influence on delivery performance, cost control and execution quality.

Your challenge: You take ownership of shipbuilding projects during the build and integration phase in an active yard environment. Success means maintaining control over planning, budget and quality while coordinating multiple interfaces across engineering, production and suppliers. You operate close to execution, ensuring decisions are translated into progress and deviations are managed with clear traceability.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and manage integrated project schedules, including milestones, sequencing and resource planning
  • Control project budgets and cost forecasts, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions
  • Coordinate procurement activities and manage suppliers against scope, timeline and quality requirements
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, production and subcontractors on site
  • Monitor progress and quality, ensuring compliance with specifications, class and client requirements
  • Identify project risks and deviations, implementing mitigation actions with a clear audit trail
  • Report structured progress updates, risks and decisions to stakeholders and opdrachtgever
Profile
What You Bring
  • Bachelor\'s/Master\'s in Shipbuilding, Maritime Engineering
  • Proven experience as Project Manager within shipbuilding or a comparable yard environment
  • Good control over planning, budget management, procurement and quality processes
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams during build/integration phases
  • Hands-on mindset and ability to operate effectively on the work floor
  • Good command of the English language
  • Experience with refit, conversion, or complex one-off vessel projects
  • Exposure to offshore or naval vessel projects
