Job summary

Van Storm Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Power Systems Engineer to design shipboard electrical power systems for advanced vessels, including generation, storage, and distribution. You will develop concept and basic engineering deliverables and ensure compliance with maritime regulations.

You will collaborate with project managers and engineers, delivering within budgets and timelines while communicating progress clearly. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (HBO level) required.
• At least 3 years' experience as hardware or electrical engineer.
• Knowledge of shipboard systems and maritime electrical engineering.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured problem-solving approach.
• Proven ability to work well in a team and take ownership.
• Fluent English for an international project environment.
• Relocation and registration support provided where needed.

Responsibilities

• Design shipboard electrical power systems based on project requirements and maritime regulations.
• Develop concept and basic engineering deliverables for electrical power systems.
• Deliver technical solutions within budgets and project timelines.
• Identify deviations within the project scope and take proactive action.
• Report engineering progress with clear, transparent communication within the team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best overall system solution.
