Job summary

Van der Leun seeks a Lead Engineer to head a team in the Netherlands and abroad, overseeing electrical installations for maritime projects. You will balance hands-on engineering with leadership, acting as the key link between the Project Manager and execution to ensure timely delivery.

You will set up drawing packages, prepare material specs, compile project documentation, and allocate work across locations. A strong background in electrical ship installations and relevant standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or proven Lead Engineer experience.
• At least 5 years as Lead Engineer in the maritime sector.
• Experience designing electrical ship installations.
• Experience with AutoCAD and SEE Electrical (or E-Plan), or willing to learn.
• Knowledge of Bureau Veritas, Lloyds and CCS standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Engineers in the Netherlands and abroad, responsible for Engineering.
• Set up the drawing package and deliver it according to schedule.
• Prepare material specifications and compile project documentation.
• Support the Project Manager and report to them; co-manage the project team.
