Job summary

Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers in Amsterdam is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety.

You will train new team members, manage cash handling, support opening/closing procedures, stock and food prep tasks, and actively cross-sell products while maintaining knowledge of plaza offerings.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods; frequently bend, twist, lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with customers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS system and process payments following cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Train new team members.
