Job summary

McDonald's Amsterdam is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a team in delivering fast, friendly service and high‑quality food. You’ll plan shifts, supervise crew, monitor safety and cleanliness, and ensure targets are met.

Experience in leadership within a restaurant or retail environment is preferred; you must be 18+ to manage. We offer flexible scheduling, training and advancement opportunities in a fast‑paced setting.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail or hospitality environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate owned and operated restaurants.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts each week, ensuring fast, accurate and friendly service.
• Monitor performance during shifts and ensure team meets McDonald’s standards.
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness and safety procedures.
• Communicate with next Shift Manager for smooth shift handoffs.
• Manage crew and schedule to meet targets and staffing needs.
• Oversee inventory, daily maintenance and equipment upkeep.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and handle issues promptly.
• Support training and development of team members.
