Job summary

Devoteam in the Netherlands seeks a ServiceNow Architect to own the technical vision for client ServiceNow platforms and to drive detailed technical designs. You will mentor consultants and ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.

• Fluent in Dutch and English

Responsibilities

• Define the architecture of ServiceNow implementations and oversee their successful delivery
• Lead the creation of detailed technical designs that leverage ServiceNow capabilities effectively
• Bridge business and technical stakeholders in solutioning sessions
• Design and maintain integrations with enterprise systems (Active Directory, Workday, Jira)
• Drive adherence to QA, security, and coding best practices across delivery teams
• Mentor consultants and developers, and foster practice growth through documentation/knowledge sharing
• Host Design Authority meetings for technical solution reviews
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities across scope
• Monitor instance performance and manage upgrade cycles

Job Description

As a ServiceNow Architect at Devoteam, you own the technical vision and design authority for our clients' ServiceNow platform. You lead the creation of detailed technical designs, bridge business and technical stakeholders, and ensure implementations align with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards. You mentor consultants across the practice, drive integration and performance best practices, and proactively surface risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities across the solutions you own.

• Serve as expert advisor in solutioning sessions, bridging business and technical stakeholders
• Design and maintain integrations with enterprise systems (Active Directory, Workday, Jira, and similar)
• Drive adherence to QA, security, and coding best practices across delivery teams
• Mentor consultants and developers, and foster practice growth through documentation and knowledge sharing
• Host Design Authority meetings for technical solution reviews
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities across your scope of ownership
• Monitor instance performance and manage upgrade cycles

Qualifications

Requirements / Qualifications

• 5+ years implementing or architecting ServiceNow solutions, including significant enterprise-scale delivery
• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Certified System Administrator plus multiple CIS certifications
• Expert-level understanding of ServiceNow data models, APIs (REST/SOAP), and platform security
• Proven experience integrating third-party systems and enterprise applications
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring skills
• Fluent in Dutch and English

Mindset & Work Ethic

• Customer-oriented and quality-driven
• Comfortable balancing a "configure over customize" mindset with the flexibility to tailor when needed
• Collaborative, agile, and hands-on with mentoring

Nice to Have

• Certified Master Architect status or additional ServiceNow certifications
• Experience in greenfield implementations (from scratch)
• Public sector or regulated-industry security/compliance experience
• Experience with AI on the ServiceNow platform (e.g. Now Assist, Control Tower) is a plus, provided it can be demonstrated with concrete examples
